Fiscal Officer:

The Martha's Vineyard land bank is seeking a full-time year-round fiscal officer to oversee its finances, using fund accounting, and perform other duties.  Salary range $73,020 - $99,977 plus benefits.

Seasonal Employment:

The Land Bank is currently taking applications for the 2022 season. Please use the application link below to apply for seasonal property attendant, seasonal property attendant manager, wildlife intern, wildlife assistant and trail crew positions.

SEASONAL TRAIL CREW (5): The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission is seeking five seasonal laborers for its Summer 2022 Trail Crew ($14.25/hr, 40-hour week). The position will run from May to September, though start/end dates are flexible. Seasonal staff are expected to assist in mowing and clearing trails, tree work, construction projects, and other tasks that arise throughout the season. Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, and beginning the workday in the early morning. Experience with outdoor power equipment, chainsaws, and trailering is preferred, but on-the-job training is available to candidates who are willing to learn. 

 

Seasonal housing may be available in exchange for additional 4 hours of work. If you require housing, please make note of it in your application. 

 

 

SUMMER PROPERTY ATTENDANT (8): The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission is seeking eight Property Attendants for Summer 2022 ($14.25/hr, 40-hour week). The position will run from May to September, though start/end dates are flexible. Summer rangers are expected to take property use data, enforce property rules, manage parking lots, pick up trash, and serve as a representative of the Land Bank to visitors. Must be flexible with scheduling, and willing to work weekends and/or holidays if necessary. A demonstrated interest in conservation is preferred, but not required. 

 

Seasonal housing may be available in exchange for additional 4 hours of work. If you require housing, please make note of it in your application.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and holidays

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, technology in general

  • Comfortable operating a kayak or rowboat; capable of lifting 50 pounds.
